At times we all feel down. Though for some of us, it is excessive and really gets in the way of enjoying life. Depression is sadness, though the type that prevents us from enjoyment and doing the things in life we want to do. We will examine what gets you down and try to change thoughts and behaviors so that happiness can enter. We can also explore if the choice is made to incorporate medications that are effective in treating depression. Grief is often caused by poor relationships or life just not going the way we want it to. Death of a loved one often results in grief and depression. We will explore the five stages of grieving to give a roadmap to getting back to a more enjoyable lifestyle. We will remind ourselves of what we have gratitude for, even when things are not going well.
